The most important part that you need to edit is, of course, the text in the middle. But there are more editable regions.

The parts that you can edit:

  1. The main text in the middle
  2. The page title
  3. The sidebars
  4. The breadcrumbs
four editable regions

1. The main text in the middle

By the main text I mean the part that you find inside the green frame, just like the text that you are reading right now.

links above the main text

The editable text in the middle begins with the links (see image) right above the greenish bar that has the author's or translator's name in it.

You can edit the text all the way down to the green frame border below the main text.

2. The page title

The page title is the text you can see immediately above the main text in the middle. The title of this page is "What parts of the page can you edit?"

It is not part of the main text, you will have to edit it in a separate text field.

3. The sidebars

The sidebars are the text columns to your left and right. They contain images, links, and sometimes ads.

4. The breadcrumbs

The breadcrumbs are the 'trails' that tell you where you are now (see image below). You can find them on the top left of your screen.

How you have to go about editing the parts discussed on this page, will be outlined on the following pages. First, we will have a look at the parts that are not editable.
