Quick help needed with short English to Dutch translation please

Post by Rez » Wed Nov 08, 2017 4:28 pm

Hi all,

Searched online and found this forum as I need a little quick help please.

I need to engrave something for someone ASAP and I'd like to have it done in Dutch ... but I don't trust online translations to be correct.

It's a tad embarrassing but hey. I need to translate the following please:

" .... the keys to your tiger's cage "

and then it will be, signed off from:

" your boy" or "your liefje"

Thanks in advance for any help. I don't know anyone who speaks Dutch except for the girl I'm engraving for so can't ask her of course :-)

It has to be sth like: ... de sleutels tot de kooi van je tijger

Can also be 'jouw tijger' and if you make it 'tijgertje' (little tiger) it might sound even more endearing. If you want to make it a bit tongue-in-cheek you could try 'teigetje' (that's Tigger in Dutch) ... but that could sound a bit too childish.
"Moenie worrie nie, alles sal reg kom" (maar hy het nie gesê wanneer nie!)
