I must say that it's true

[woordvolgorde]
According to many, the word order is one of the hardest parts of the Dutch language. If you are also struggling with subordinate clauses, inversion and the like, this is the place to be.

Hi,

How do you say in Dutch:
Ik moet zeggen, dat het waar is
or
Ik moet, dat het waar is, zeggen
or maybe somehow else ?

Have I used commas correctly ?

Thank you for your answer

Je eerste zin is goed, maar zonder komma. Ik zou echter "Ik moet toegeven dat het waar is" zeggen.

Are you sure that it's written without comma ?
Shouldn't we write comma before dat ?
Please answer me in English.

Now I know that you are right - we don't write comma before a word dat.

Some examples from the Google translator:

De onderzoekers constateren dat consumenten in augustus veel minder somber zijn over de economische situatie voor het komende jaar.

Hij denkt dat veel mensen geen rechtszaak aanspannen, omdat ze denken dat de schade te gering is of dat ze het toch niet kunnen winnen van het leger advocaten dat bedrijven achter de hand houden.
