question about using "vanaf"

[voorzetsels]
Do we buy our train tickets 'in' or 'op' the station? Do we ask 'voor' or 'om' informatie?

question about using "vanaf"

Post by veenstroom » Tue Dec 16, 2014 2:11 pm

hi,

I am working on this sentence.
Vanaf verschillende bestaande veenstromen werden aan weerszijden afwateringssloten gegraven.

My feeling is that instead of "vanaf" it should be "vanuit".

Is vanaf the correct prepositin in this sentence?

thanks!!!
