No, I have not met this idiom in Dutch. I find it a strange image too - I'd more expect something like "een te grote mond" (except that a 'grote mond' just like the English 'big mouth' already means impertinence). Checking in Google, I find "te veel monden" being used in two meanings: "te veel monden te voeden" (too many mouths to feed) and "met te veel monden spreken" (either too many people speaking for one entity, or one person or entity saying too many different, conflicting things about the same subject)
