Does everybody have to do these exams?

If you have any plans to move to Holland or if you have already settled there, this is the place to discuss the Inburgeringsexamen ('integration' exam for immigrants), NT2 (Dutch as a second language), and studying at Flemish or Dutch schools and universities.

I am English and moving to Netherlands to be with my future husband. We have googled this and cannot seem to get any definitive answer.

Does everyone have to do the Dutch exam for residency, or are Europeans exempt? So far with our googling, we have come to the conclusion, that, as a European I can move there and work there without having to get a visa etc, but is it the same for the exam? Although I am learning Dutch, exams scare me! lol

I think it is for people from outside the EU (see wikipedia: http://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inburgeringsexamen), but I am no expert
