Master in computer science

Post by Dadamax » Sat Nov 08, 2008 7:37 pm

Hi,
I am Italian and I am going to end in December my undergraduate/bachelor degree in Computer Science.
So I am thinking to continue my studies away, to do a different experience.
At the moment, I found some infos about Dutch universities through their web-sites, which effectively have a plenty of infos, but I would like to have some advice from students who actually attend them or if they would suggest them.
I am thinking as possible masters the courses of Gaming, under Intelligent Systems at University of Amsterdam, Game and Media Programming at University of Utrecht and Computing Science at University of Groningen, but probably for this last one I have already passed the deadline.
From the point of view of a student, would you suggest (or unsuggest) a particular faculty or course or city ? Is it effectively possible to follow and study them in English?

Best regards
- Dean

Hi Dean,

At the moment, I'm studying Computer Science at the Free University (VU) in Amsterdam. See http://www.cs.vu.nl/en/ for more information. I did not study at other university's so I can't make a good comparison, but I can say I like the way the lectures are given, and the Faculty of Sciences is a big department of the Univeristy with some well-known computer scientists. The course is completely in English, and there are much foreign students at the campus also. If you have any further questions, I would like to answer them ;)

Ciao Dean!

Zeeland.
