Dictionary for Mac OSX

Postby tslipscomb » May 20th, 2008, 1:15 am

Hey everyone! I'm new to the forum... I've been studying on my own for a little while now and was wondering if anyone knew of a Dutch-English/English-Dutch dictionary program for OS X?

I know in 10.5 it's possible to use Stardict dictionaries, etc with the integrated OS Dictionary application... But the Dutch-English dictionary that's out there for it right now just isn't as good as I hoped.. And I am unable to edit it myself. So! That's why I'm looking for either another stardict-type dictionary i can convert to work with OSX or just a completely new program from Prisma, Van Dale or something?

Thanks!

I'd imagine most computer dictionaries are available for OS X as well. Van Dale's certainly are.

You can get a VanDale widget for your dashboard here:
http://www.apple.com/downloads/dashboard/

Sorry, You'll have to search for the widget amongst the lists. I would give you a more specific address but I'm at work and they don't let me access the apple website.

Just download a dictionary for mac on your Mac PC. It is the best way to know about any new language. It helps in increasing and enhancing word power and vocabulary.
