Online Dutch dictionaries with de/het?

Post by Fietskova » Wed Oct 02, 2013 7:49 pm

I would like to ask if anyone knows any online Dutch dictionaries that would also indicate if the word is a de-word or a het-word?

I'm turning a bit neurotic getting a translation but not neing able to look up the article.

Thanks for any help. :)

Wiktionary does, or should anyway, some articles may be incomplete. I expect some other online dictionaries probably do as well - they may do so by indicating the gender of the word, but that amounts to the same thing: if it's neuter, then it's "het", if it's masculine or feminine it's "de".

Van Dale is a good Dutch/Dutch dictionary that indicates the genders and plurals of nouns.
o = onzijdig (neuter) --> het
m = mannelijk (masculine) --> de
v = vrouwelijk (feminine) --> de

It's not a dictionairy, but the official word list of the Dutch language does: http://woordenlijst.org.
