A language learning method I'm using (one of several, not the only) is from a research article on the learning methods used by some of the highest performing competitive Chinese learners of English. It involves memorizing a passage verbatim, the contents of which are then used as frameworks and building blocks.
...Which leads me to ask: What's worth memorizing in Dutch? Besides models of language use, I'm looking for something thoughtful, meaningful, beautiful, etc. Great literature, poetry (as requested in my other thread viewtopic.php?f=27&t=6898) philosophy, folk stories, even jokes, etc. ... Preferably something that doesn't wear out too readily with repetition.
Any recommendations? Favorite quotes?
Recommendations and opinions of books, dictionaries, programs, movies, shows, comedy, video players (region issues), music, websites, courses, where to buy Dutch stuff if you don't live there, etc.
