Increase Vocabulary

The exercises are only available on the 'old forum', i.e. the forum before the January 2008 update. You can still do the old exercises here: www.dutchgrammar.com/forum/quiz.php

Increase Vocabulary

Post by kwalijkje » Mon Jun 11, 2007 6:57 pm

I don't know about anyone else, but my greatest difficulty in learning another language is creating a large enough vocabulary to speak confidently.  So i've made a few word lists on Quizlet. I figure if everyone makes a word list on Quizlet there'll be a directory of words for everyone to learn. Quizlet is quite good for learning vocab.

Ok, just found this old post of mine. Thought I'd revitalise it rather than jungle-up the forum with a new thread and use it to advertise new wordlists on quizlet.com for anyone who's interested in increasing their vocab.
Already got some basic word lists that I posted a year or so ago:
Clothing
Colours
Food
Family
Bodies
Proxemics
Time
Basic Dutch Phrases

I'm working on some more advanced ones at the moment, like Prepositional phrases, jargon (i.e. cinema jargon, work jargon, slang)...
Hope this is useful to someone.
