INDOB'

Post by edufuga » Fri Jun 13, 2008 9:00 pm

Hello,
I'm reading the pages on "Word Order", and i've found something i don't quite understand. I read this in the section "The reduced direct object":
An example of the reduced indirect object preceding the reflexive pronoun: Ik kan het me niet herinneren.
Why "het" is here a reduced indirect object? "me" is the reflexive pronoum (zich herinneren) and "het" should be the direct object, should'nt it?
(If this is not correct, i apologise for posting it here, and i'd be happy to know why :o)

Hi Edufuga,

You are right; it should have said 'direct object'.
Thanks! I am going to change it straight away.
