Ask any other questions here!

Hi, I've got a question which I did not know where to ask. It's in contact with the forum. I live in Hungary, in the GMT+2 timezone, but if I set it to +2, then it shows an hour earlier than it is. The solution can be to set it to +3, but it's Moscow's region, more than 1000 kms away...

Is there a solution :?:

MODIFICATION: I live in the GMT+1 region, just as in Holland.

Maybe the error is with me, but the chat is not functioning... I don't want to use it, but maybe someone else would like. Only I have this error?

And sorry about I always report errors...

No, the error is with the forum. I will change it, but I first have to look up how. I had not made it a priority yet, being engaged with setting up the structure of this forum but I will ook into it this weekend.

I have heard of the chatbox error - I don't know what it is, because it works fine for me. I cannot check the error because it is a third party chatbox, hosted on a remote server. I will soon add a chatbox to my own server.

Do report the errors that you come across, Geree, it is very useful!

[29.10.05 - edit by Bieneke: you can now use the chatbox on this forum, see the link on the start page]

I've found an error again...

On the index page of dutchgrammar, there is a link to the forum which does not work. (next to the "en espanol, em portugués" buttons).

It's link points to:
http://www.dutchgrammar.com/cgi-bin/axs ... /index.php

It does not work for me, not like the other in the "tree".

Slow link

Post by Bieneke » Tue Aug 23, 2005 3:18 pm

I see what you mean, Geree. The link does work but it is just slow, no idea why. The only difference is that the 'tree link' takes you directly to the forum on the dhost server, whereas the one in the top bar (next to español etc) goes through the dutchgrammar.com server.

There is a "button" near the Profile and Log in. It's name is UserGroups. What is it for? How it is working :?:

I've found it in the FAQ, so my previous question is out of date. :)

Oops, I completely forgat to reply to your -meanwhile outdated- message! It is bit like "mosterd na de maaltijd" now but I would still like to say something sensible about it. :P

I do not think that there is point to this group button as I believe the information on this forum should be accessible to anyone who is interested. However, if anyone wants to start a group, let me know. Of course, I would like to know the purpose of this group and whether you want other people to be able to see your group, to be able to post messages in it, etc.

Een suggestie

Post by mabing » Wed Oct 12, 2005 10:23 pm

Ik heb niet een vraag maar een suggestie voor een nieuw onderwerp. Vaak heb ik problemen met 'gelijk maar verschillend' woorden net als vinden/dachten, verschijnen/lijken. Is er en forum voor die?
Hartelijke dank!

I don't have a question but a suggestion for a new topic. I often have problems with 'similar but different' words such as vinden/dachten, verschijnen/lijken. Is there a forum for these?
Thanks!
(I'm not comfortable with 'die' in that last sentence....I'd somehow prefer deze but for me die/dat/deze/wie/het are still 'curious').

Hoi Mark,

Goed idee. Ik zal eens aan Wim vragen of een woordenschatsubforum (sorry voor het lange woord) misschien in het grammaticaforum past.

Good idea. I will ask Wim whether a vocabulary subforum would fit in the grammar forum.

Groetjes,
Bieneke
