Automatic log on

Post by Bieneke » Wed Sep 14, 2005 3:47 pm

If you want to stay logged in between sessions, you have to:
  • 1. check the box at the bottom of the log in screen
AND
  • 2. enable cookies.
To enable cookies:

In Internet Explorer / Opera:

--> options
--> internet options
--> privacy
--> websites

Copy the url of this website and click 'allow'.

--> 'ok'
--> 'ok'

In Firefox:

--> options
--> privacy
--> cookies

either check "accept/allow all cookies / allow all cookies" (which I would not recommend) or uncheck this option and add the url of this forum to the exceptions list.

--> 'ok'

Mac users, I could not tell you how to adjust your browser's privacy settings. But then again, as a Mac user you probably know how to do this 8)

Hallo, Bieneke.
I am having a weird problem regarding log-in and time last logged in.
1. I log in.
2. I goto view posts since last log in. Everything goes normally; I can read all the posts since I last logged in.
3. I close my browser.
4. Whether or not I checked the automatically log me on box and even now after I added the site to the privacy settings when I go back to the site I am asked to log on again!
5. I fill in the form to log in and I am asked to log in a second time!
6. I login finally and now the time since I last logged on is the current time, even though I haven't logged in for awhile. I cannot use the view post since last login.
7. If I delete cookies, the above problem does not occur. So, I must delete the cookie every time I leave the site. Weird, eh?
I hope I explained the problem properly and I hope it can be fixed. :)
Met vriendelijke groeten,

Hi EetSmakelijk,

I went through the cookie settings and it should work fine now. Do you still have problems logging on? Is anyone else experiencing the same problem?
