I am very much interested in learning dutch and your site is exellent,i am using the dutch-english version,which is ok but i would like to ask you,if there is a possibility in the near futur for dutch-greek version.

I'm sorry to see that nobody replied to your post yet. I'm afraid the chance that there'll be a Greek version of this forum will be almost equal to nothing. As far as I know there are only very few Greek members, an most of them are writing in English.

Yet I may have a suggestion for you. If you want to learn Dutch from a Greek source, you could buy Nederlands voor Griekstaligen, een beknopte grammatica met oefeningen by Joanna Dullaart-Moudros. ISBN 960-253-064-2. It was published Athens, 1998 by Ekdoseis Arsenide. As far as I know this (Greek) book is still available for about 25 euros. Any bookshop could order it for you.

Whoops, I missed that post. It does not look like there will be a Greek version in the near future, but I might receive an email from someone who would like to volunteer to translate the pages into Greek today (or next year; I cannot tell).

I would like to give Dutch lessons to Greek people who want to emigrate to Flanders or the Netherlands. Can you help me to find a way to get in touch with such people. I intend to start by using skype for teaching but can also emigrate to Greece. Your help is very much appreciated. I have a passive knowledge of Greek.

Hallo Verhoeven,

Mijn ervaring met (hoog opgeleide) buitenlandse studenten in de regio Den Haag-Delft is, dat er daaronder maar heel weinig Grieken zijn. Oost-Europeanen, Iraniërs, Chinezen en Zuid-Amerikanen heb ik vaak voorbij zien komen, maar Grieken maar mondjesmaat. De paar Grieken die ik in mijn klassen aangetroffen heb, waren vooral mensen die in een restaurant kwamen werken en een enkele student van de Technische Universiteit in Delft. Al met al zullen het er een stuk of tien geweest zijn in een goede twintig jaar.

Misschien zou je je licht eens kunnen opsteken bij een vereniging van Grieken in België en/of Nederland, of bij een vereniging van Griekse restauranthouders (zoiets zal er ongetwijfeld zijn). En wellicht kun je je diensten aanbieden via studentenverenigingen of universitaire organisaties. Maar ik verwacht niet dat er hordes cursisten op afkomen. Gewoon omdat die er niet zijn, al kan dat in België natuurlijk anders liggen dan in mijn Nederlandse omgeving.
