I need some advices about taking a course for staatsexamen..

I came from Indonesia and i've been stayin here in Nl since about 2.5 months ago.....I got my resident permit already and i did the intake test that is recommended by the gemeente aswell......I must say my dutch is very poor, in my last basis inburgering examen in Indonesia, yes i got 100 for the sociale cultures test but for the language test i got only 38 points.....Anyway, before i took the intake test, the teacher asked my education backrounds and i said i graduated from a medical school in my country......Then he suggested me to take a course for staatsexamen......And i was like, haaa????Is it possible for me, since like i told you before my dutch is very poor, but he really recommended it......So i did the intake test and because im 7.5 months pregnant now, my class will start in January......Do you think i've made the right decissions to take the class???Some of my friends who have stayed longer than me here said the course for the staatsexamen is only for people who can speak Dutch well and live atleast years here, is that true????Im feeling a little worry caused by that......

If you have received education in your home-country for more than ten years - then you should enroll in a course for Staatsexamen NT2. You should not enroll in a class for the inburgeringscursus. The inburgeringscursus is meant for those who did not have an opportunity in their country of origine to follow a "NORMAL" number of years of education - which means ten years or more.
If a normal- or well-educated person will enroll in an 'inburgeringscourse', he or she will loose a lot of time and he or she will probably gain a lot of frustration.

Thank you very much for your reply....Yes, like i've mentioned before i graduated from a medical univercity, so probably according to your last explanations, thats why my contact person suggested me to take the staatsexamencursus......
But my question again is is it possible for me to do that since i speak dutch poorly Does the staatsexamencursus is also for a beginner like me???

Staatsexamen nt2-courses should be started from the beginning.
It has nothing to do with being a beginner or not.
I train my well-educated students from the first day towards the Staatsexamnen nt2.
They should not do anything else. The person at the gemeente has made a good advise for you, allthough it is a pity that you can not start earlier, and have the 'baby-break' according to your own schedule ...
