Twenty Clues

Games we play within the forum itself. If you find a neat game on the web, I would place that post under “Resources and Reviews”

Twenty Clues

Postby Marco » October 8th, 2005, 12:51 pm

Since there's gusto for this game I'll post it here. :)

Rules are easy. I have a card that has twenty clues to describe something, someone or somewhere. It's your job to guess what it is.

Alright, let's try. Oefening baart kunst! / Practise makes perfect!

Ergens / Somewhere

If you need more clues you'll have to tell!

Pompeii?

Postby Tom » October 8th, 2005, 1:50 pm

Is it possibly the city of Pompeii which was buried by the eruption of the volcano "Vesuvius"?

eruptie: meestal zeggen wij "uitbarsting". De vulkaan barst uit...

zuurpruim - sourpuss

Postby Tom » October 22nd, 2005, 9:12 pm

Een zuurpruim in het Engels is:

a sourpuss
a gloomy Gus
a picklepuss
a pouter

Basically it is someone that always has a sad look on their face.
Someone who pouts a lot.

I need a little more time to think about the answer.

:-k even denken

Postby Tom » October 30th, 2005, 10:05 pm

Is it possibly a lemon or am I mistaken?

Citroën = French Auto

Groetjes

In America we call an auto with a very bad repair history "a lemon".
It is interesting that a Citroën is an automobile.
