Text to Speech - Acapela HQ TTS Interactive Demo

[spelling en uitspraak]
How do you pronounce 'gezellig'? What is the difference between 'eu' and 'ui'? How do you write...? You can use the phonetic keyboard if you are familiar with phonetic symbols.
[Jan. 12, 2008: due to the forum update, the phonetic keyboard has been temporarily disabled.]

Text to Speech - Acapela HQ TTS Interactive Demo

Postby Tom » December 19th, 2009, 12:10 am

I found this web page where you can select a Dutch or Flemish Speaker (man or woman) and type a work in Dutch in and then hit play. It doesn't sound so bad.

http://www.acapela-group.com/text-to-speech-interactive-demo.html

I found that the fewer the words you type in at a time (one at a time is best) the better it sounds.

Does anyone know of other resources that are free like this?

I saw a few other synthetizers, but they were way worse so I didn't save the URLs

I really excpect that one to be the best one around

I already pm'd Bien because the links no longer work.

I see she fixed them to point the new location in the first post here. By the way I was the one that sent that link in in the first place long long ago.

As always any user should be cautious of what they download from the internet, especially executables!

I felt compelled to remind everyone of that.
