In English, the gerund is formed by stem + '-ing', e.g. working, sleeping, eating. This form is used in a variety of grammar constructions.
In Dutch, the gerund is formed by:
infinitive + d
It is, however, only used as an adjective or adverb.
Used as an adjective, it sometimes gets an additional -e.
