Re: Looking for a native (US) English speaker who wants to learn Dutch
My mother tongue isn't English, but almost, as I've learnt it with family since I was a child. I can't start exchanging in Dutch right now as I'm still to get a half-decent grasp of the language, and as I'll regularly go abroad this winter to take my boss in places like this property in Southern Cyp...

Re: Movies for kids
My wife already showed the Nijntje/Miffy movie to our first child when she was 4 to give her some exposition to English, I think that our younger one (he's 2 right now, it will be in the future) can watch it in Dutch if I do learn the language at a decent enough level to work there!

Re: Pronunciation of final -en
Thanks for the explanations, it's sort of a hard thing to assimilate for me; I've learnt German before Dutch, so it's hard to fight your instinct sometimes!

Colt checks in
Hello everyone, I've joined this forum because I'm planning to learn Dutch in the near future. The main reason is that it may help me develop my career, as the company I work for is planning to expand its activity there; but then, there's a personal reason as well, as Dutch is the only language from...
