Today, I encountered liefhebben and liefheeft for the first time.

How does liefhebben differ from liefde hebben ?

I listened to a 400-word MP3 which contained the phrases “Zij logeren in het huis” and “Hij zal regeren” regeren was pronounced as I expected, (/reˈɣeː.rən/) but logeren was /ˈloʒeː.rən/ Is that because it is borrowed from French? "plastic" to an American implies flexible, not not rigid

"voor_het_huis_is_er_geen_straat"
When voor is followed by de or het, does it always mean "in front of" or could it mean "in order to"?

It had numbers one through ten, both ordinals ad cardinals. The title was "getallen"

The context I saw it in was about both getallen en nummers.

Maybe the author misused figuren?

I took it as "stripe" from the dictionary. Which of course is also (apparently) not a measure.

In English, "like" & "love" differ in intensity (though the latter is informally very overused). Is there a less intense word in Dutch? Is intensity indicated by tone of voice? Or by adding adjectives? Seems like mere context would be judged or misjudged by the hearer’s attit...
