Dag allemaal,
I added two new fields to the user profiles: 'native language' and 'gender'. If you would like other people to know what your first language is or whether you are male or female, you can update your details by clicking on 'profile' on the top of this page.
I do not find it important to know these details (although I am as curious as anyone else ) and you should not feel obliged to share anything about yourself other than your user name. I did enter my gender so from now on, nobody will take me for a male anymore.
Groetjes,
User profile: gender & native language

You have a girl's name...
I mean, I know John Wayne was really called Marilyn, and Richard Gere's middle name is Tiffany, but most of the time you can tell someone's gender by their name....
I feel quite stupid, I can't find these new fields... lol

You would be suprised to learn how many e-mails I receive addressed to "Mr Berendsen".kwalijkje wrote:You have a girl's name...

Don't feel stupid; the new fields are not in the user control panel yet. I added these fields a few months ago but I somehow managed to make them appear only in the sign-up form. It is already on the to do list.
