In deze zin 'De vergadering is komen te vervallen', waarom is er een 'te'? Volgens de uitleg in deze link https://www.dutchgrammar.com/en/?n=Verbs.Au09 is een 'te' niet nodig, bijvoorbeeld, 'het is komen vervallen'. Alvast bedankt!

Ik denk dat men een fout heeft gemaakt. Volgens de regels zou er inderdaad "... komen vervallen" moeten staan. MAAR je zult deze fout heel vaak tegenkomen, dus eigenlijk is dit normaal taalgebruik geworden. Maar je hebt wel gelijk: volgens de regels is het fout.
"Moenie worrie nie, alles sal reg kom" (maar hy het nie gesê wanneer nie!)

I think the link is wrong. The correct form is "het is komen te vervallen". I don't think that there is much regularity here. In two cases "te" is dropped, in one it is not. That is idiom, not grammar. Idiom does not follow rules.

Dat is inderdaad een goede uitleg.
