Verwijzing naar de- of het- woorden

I have chosen the following text from this website:

"Het moeilijkste van de Nederlandse taal is de woordvolgorde. Er zijn wel een paar richtlijnen om een goede zin te maken. De beste manier om het te leren is echter: veel lezen en luisteren."

I am wondering why the writer has chosen the word "Het" to refer either to " de woordvolgorde" or " een paar richtlijnen" in the above-mentioned sentence.
Both of the antecedents to which this "Het" might refer to are "de-woorden" meanwhile the author refers to them using "Het".

"Het" in the sentence only refers to one word: 'moeilijkste'. This is one of those instances where an adjective (moeilijkste) becomes a noun (het moeilijkste). So in this case 'het' is not wrong.

It's probably that they mean 'het moeilijkste onderdeel van de Nederlandse taal'.

Thanks a lot for the explanation, at the same time you answered my other question why 'Het moeilijkste" and not "De moeilijkste". because of "onderdeel" which is redundant, if I am not mistaken!
