We have a new Kwebbelhoekje. It is an IRC chat, which means that you can access it from any IRC application.
Channel & server
Just search for channel ##kwebbelhoekje (or type "/join ##kwebbelhoekje"). Mind the two hashmarks at the beginning!
The server is irc.freenode.net.
Alternative IRC software
You can use the PJIRC web application on this forum (just click "chat" in the top menu), but there are a lot more advanced free desktop applications available. Just search for "IRC software" or "IRC application". One of the most popular IRC applications is mIRC.
If you do not feel like installing anything, you can also use a web application like Mibbit (http://www.mibbit.com).
Using IRC
If you are a new IRC user, you can register your nickname by typing "/nickserv register yournickname". You do not have to do this; it is just a way to prevent other IRC users from using the same nickname. After this, follow the instructions on your screen. You will be asked to enter an email address to verify your registration. To see a list of commands used in IRC, just type "/help". I am new to IRC myself, so - assisted by IRC-savvy Grytolle - I am still figuring out how everything works.
This KH is rather limited. You can only read that part of the conversation that took place while you were logged on. Also, there is no possibility to list the users who are in the KH (maybe there is, but I have not figured out how do this). At least, for the time being, we have a place to chat again.
