The Dutch verb tenses (how we call them in Dutch)

[werkwoorden]
Regular verbs, irregular verbs, auxiliary verbs, compound verbs... When do we use which tense? What about those strange constructions the Dutch use to make a continuous? "Staat" my book on the shelf or "ligt" it? Ask all about Dutch verbs here.

tegenwoordige: ik loop
verledenen: ik liep
voltooide tijd: ik heb gelopen
toekomende tijd: ik ga lopen

do u also call tegenwoordige as ott; verleden as ovt; en voltooide as vvt? lastly, where is the toekomende tijd in the list of tenses? thanks so much in advance.

What you have learned is a simplified version containing the most commonly used forms, this is the complete version. So yeah, as you said, what you know as "tegenwoordige" is the ott, and so on.
The "toekomende tijd" as you know it is in the list as "onvoltooid tegenwoordig toekomende tijd", but simply "onvoltooid toekomende tijd" is used as well.
